Mama Tere Strickland (Te Taitokerau, Cook Islands); Transgender advocate.
Mama Tere is an advocate for transgender people in the greater Auckland area. She is an adviser to the Manukau City Council,
and has recently retired from the New Zealand AIDS Foundation board. Mama Tere runs her own social service and hauora programme
called Te Aronga Hou. Mama Tere & Te Aronga Hou Inaianei are travelling from Auckland especially for this Fundraiser Event
